Our Journey Begins
Fanna-fi-Allah's founder and leader Tahir Qawwal takes you back to the sacred places that birthed his passion for music. The group guides you to the dargah to experience Qawwali in its authentic setting. Sufi scholars Peer Asim Maharvi (Chishtiyan, Pakistan) and proclaimed author Sadia Dehlvi (New Delhi, India) offer insightful perspectives on Sufism.

Instruments in the Making
Harmoniums and tablas are carefully handmade by expert craftsmen, each with unique stories of their own. We visit Aminah's teacher Ustad Dildar Hussain in his home, where he plays tabla with Ustad Mansoor Santoo Hussain Khan's group. Hear the eldest Qawwal speak on the mysticism of music, shortly before his passing.

The Origins of Qawwali
Investigate the origins of this music, as it emerged during the arrival of Islam to the Hindustani subcontinent in the 13th century. Peer Salman Chishti tells the story of the world's most visited Sufi pilgrimage site, Ajmeer Shareef in India. Featuring the music of Ustad Rizwan Muazzam Ali Khan, Ustad Faiz Ali Khan, Ustad Sher Mehr Ali Khan and Ustad Zakir & Zaki Ali Khan.
